Having its head office in Kabul, it is operating in 12 districts of 7 provinces (Kabul,Ghazni, Logar, Kapisa, Herat, Nangarhar and Laghman provinces) through its 12 branches. It has a total of 19,000 clients as of November 2008. Overall Responsibility: Plans and executes various financial, compliance and operation audits in accordance with MADRAC plicies and procedure manuals and accepted professional standards. Specific Responsibilities:: °  Develop detailed audit plans and programs; °  Evaluate and examine the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and system in    place to protect all resources of MADRAC; °  Perform specific audit procedures and prepare work papers documenting the audit    procedures performed; °  Check and investigate loan portfolio, disbursements, collection and admin fee there on and     its recording cycle from source data to monthly closing report °  Attend and monitor clients at village level and report thereon; °  Calculate all financial and operational ratios relating to Microfinance as per CGAP standards    and general norms and provide proper feedback with remedial corrective actions when     results deviate from standards; °  Prepare comprehensive written reports elaborating audit findings, control weaknesses and    observations and the remedial actions need to be taken; °  Follow up to determine adequacy of corrective actions along with recommendations for     futher improvements;. °  Assist individuals who perform operational and financial activities with risk asessments and     action plans in their responsibility areas to heighten awareness of major exposures, loss     potenial and/or transactioanl anomalies and facilitate discussion of practical ways to     manage or avoid them; °  Demonstrate high standards of conduct and ethics as well as appropriate judgment,    independence and discretion; °  Provide assistance to external auditors as requested;    Develop and establish internal Audit Unit being on job for some time °  Any other special assignments and projects as may be assigned by the Director Qualification required: MBA Finance, CAT, ACCA partly qualified, BBA/B.Com. Practical exposure with a well reputed firm of Chartered Accountants or in internal Audit Department of any Organization of repute is preferred; Experience in Microfinance is an added advantage. Necessary Experience: at least three years overall working experience in Audit and accounts ina relatively senior position. Other Skills: Strong Managerial and Communication skills. Languages: Fluency in English, Pashto and Dari Personal traits necessary: Active, Dynamic, Initiative, Diplomatic and honest.
